As required by House Bill 1, Ohio's Academic Content Standards for Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies have been revised. The State Board of Education adopted new standards in June 2010. These Standards describe what ALL students should know and be able to do at each grade level. The revised standards aim at preparing every student to be ready for college and the workplace. The Science and Social Studies standards are state revised, while the English Language Arts and Math are common core (national) standards. These standards are part of an aligned system that is aimed at ensuring that No Child is Left Behind.
